The Itinerary
This is a rough guide, not a fixed schedule — surf conditions come first! If the waves are awesome or the group’s having fun, we’ll run a double session, stretch the beach time, or shuffle the days around to match the vibe.
Day 1 — Arrival
Check-in, welcome & mingle. Dinner & surf theory.
Day 2
Continental breakfast, out to surf. Post-surf beach hang and picnic lunch. Afternoon down time (spa, dog walk, relax) followed by yoga. Dinner out then a surf forecasting lesson.
Day 3
Continental breakfast, out to surf. Lunch out and time to explore the Ukee Market. Afternoon down time (spa, dog walk, relax). Dinner, then sunset at the beach, with a fire if possible!
Day 4
Morning yoga, brunch, surf theory review, and spa/down time. Lunch and optional group hike/outing. Evening surf session, beach dinner.
Day 5 — Departure
Hearty breakfast, check out. Optional free surf before you go.
Meet Your Hosts
Katie and Sean have called Ucluelet home for nearly five years. Katie spent twelve years as a registered nurse specializing in mental health and preventative care; Sean spent two decades as an entrepreneur hosting adventure trips and men’s groups.
Both are Water Safety and ISA Level 1 certified, and grew up teaching — Katie as a swim instructor, Sean as a hockey coach — so guiding people through something new (and occasionally scary) comes naturally. Expect real conversation, honest check-ins if you want them, while keeping things fun, and two hosts who are a little obsessed with the ocean.
Katie leads the yoga classes, integrating grounding and self-care into the experience. Sean’s the one who’ll nerd out with you over surf conditions and technique.
